KCA Deutag contracted Sureclean to remove cement and barite powders from six silos onboard the Nexen Scott Platform.

Sureclean Scope

Provide manpower and equipment for the removal and disposal of cement and barite powder from six silos onboard the Nexen Scott Platform by means of vacuum transfer application.

Technical Challenge

Contolled removal of the cement and barite powders, ensuring containment and prevention of any expelled dusts during the operation.

  • Hazardous Environment - Confined Space Entry Working, access and egress.
  • Waste containment and transfer.
  • Critical Path Project.

Additional Information

Key objective of the project was to remove the dry powders from the silos safely effciently containing all dusts / potential air borne contaminants. By incorporating the bespoke Sureclean filtration system as an integral inline component of the vacuum system, downstream of the suction head, this was sucessfully achieved.
