Sureclean’s Mathew Pirie is Shortlisted for a Northern Star Business Award 2016

Sureclean’s Mathew Pirie has been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award at this year’s Northern Star Business Awards.

Mathew Pirie is currently employed as a Project Engineer and is responsible for providing multi-discipline technical and engineering support for projects across the full range of services provided by Sureclean.

Mathew’s most recent project was overseeing Sureclean’s industrial cleaning and waste management activities as part of an integrated team working on Decommissioning of the CNRI Murchison Platform, UK North Sea.

The decommissioning of the Murchison platform has been a high profile project as it is one of the first of its kind being one of the largest steel jacket platforms in the North Sea.  Over the course of this project, Mathew coordinated over 38,000 Sureclean man hours with zero LTI’s and zero equipment failures, on time and under budget with commendations received from the Client.

Alan Stewart, projects director of Sureclean, said: “We are extremely proud that Mathew has been shortlisted for a Northern Star Business Award.  Prior to his work on the Murchison, Mathew was seen as a Rising Star within Sureclean but his performance in leading such a successful project means he is also now a Rising Star within the industry!  His hard work, flexibility and ‘can do’ attitude makes him an asset to our team.”

The Rising Star Award recognises an individual employee who has shown outstanding potential and is proven to have made a major impact and contribution within the company.

Winners will be announced on Thursday 25th September at a ceremony and dinner held at the AECC.
